There are various types of adulterants found in food such as:

The purest honey is the most common adulterated food. It is often adulterated with water, sugar syrup, corn syrup, fructose, glucose, and beet sugars. It may also contain varying amounts of heavy metals as well as antibiotics. Which may lead to various disorders and food poisoning.
Milk is the healthy dose of calcium. No one ever thinks about that the more demanded healthy milk comes in the category of adulterated food. Milk is adulterated with reconstituted milk powder, rennet, urea, and water. That will increases the quantity. The milk almost soapy aftertaste, bitter and turns yellow on heating.
Everyone loves to take a sip of coffee. But what happens if your coffee is adulterated? It is usually adulterated with cereals, more parchment, starch, malt, and figs. This would cause a very harmful effect on the body such as stomach disorders and severe joint pains.

5. Khoya And Paneer
Sweets containing khoya and paneer are more popular in different festivals. While eating no one minded about the adulterants. It adulterated with the starch powders and some other chemicals. Which may affect your health. To check the adulterated khoya we should boil with some water. Add a few drops of Iodine solution. Blue color after testing indicates the presence of starch.
6. Olive Oil
We must use healthy oil for healthy life. But consumers are cheated in different ways. It adulterated with other oils such as generic vegetable, corn oil, nut oils such as walnuts or hazelnuts and sunflower oil. You should buy from an expensive gourmet shop. And hope the impressive tag and label.
Ghee might look pure. But it can’t. It adulterated with cheapest mixtures. The most common adulterants are- (i) hydrogenated fat, (ii) Refined vegetable oils example – groundnut, and cottonseed oil and (iii) animal bodies’ fat. You can detect the ghee from these tests- (i) Furfural test (ii) Baudouin test.
Adulteration of spices in the country has risen to serious health concerns. Species are the main ingredients for Indian cooking. The most commonly adulterated items are cumin powder and dried red chili. They adulterated with food coloring, added starch, and even brick powder.
9. Fruit Juices
We are more fond of fresh fruit juices, especially in hot summers. These vitamins treasure adulterated with artificial flavors.
